About Us: The Dream Team

The Living Options management team consists of Patricia Broemser and Ime Ekanem. Pat and Ime bring to the company diverse backgrounds and experiences, and share a common vision of helping their clients find the best senior care facilities available.

Patricia Broemser, Founder and Partner
Pat comes from a family with a long history of providing service to seniors. Her great-grandparents donated the land and buildings to establish a home for senior living and care in Selma, California. Her grandmother and mother later volunteered full-time at the home.

Growing up, Pat understood the need for seniors to have a good, safe, and caring environment in which to live. Her background naturally led her to donate her time to the Council on Aging, primarily visiting shut-in seniors. She also volunteered at Community Services Agency (CSA) of Mountain View, Los Altos, and Los Altos Hills doing office work and assisting with senior care. As part of her effort, she took shut-in seniors to dinner every Saturday night.

A dozen years ago, she met Susan Diamond, Director of Senior Services at CSA. Susan said there was a great need for a business that would inspect, evaluate, and refer seniors to the approximately 1500 senior facilities in the area and recommended that Pat start such a business. Pat agreed to do so, and thus Living Options began.

Ime Ekanem, Partner
Born in Fresno, California, Ime returned to his parent’s native country in West Africa at a young age. He witnessed a politically unstable, impoverished nation which lacked the means to provide its citizens with basic living necessities such as clean water, education, roads, medicine, healthcare and shelter. Throughout his childhood, Ime saw poverty first-hand and the plight of the handicapped and elderly as they suffered due to inadequate care, often going without food, medication or shelter.

Ime decided that his role in life was to make a difference and help seniors attain a better standard of living. It is that passion that drives him to impact the community through Living Options. Therefore, since 2008, Ime has partnered with Pat to provide clients with quality referrals to the best facilities for seniors.
